So i was lucky enough to go to America for the first time in my Life. I had some gigs booked in LA and New York to start trying to promote my music out there before the Album comes out in March next year. We managed to fit in a lot in a short space of time but still can’t wait to go out again for longer next time. The gigs went really well, we played at a place called Bardot in LA supporting the legendary Daniel Lanois, then we played the Hotel Cafe also in LA.

After that we flew to New York to play a gig at Joe’s Pub, a venue i have heard loads about. It was just great to be able to perform in New York and LA and can’t wait to go back and play other City’s and States next Year.

I must start by giving a big thanks to Andrew Hingley from Nashville for helping out on keys. It was great to play with him whilst Steve was away. The response over in the USA has been overwhelming.

Playing live is a big part of what I do and to feel the vibes from the people at shows inspires and enriches the experience for the band, me and you guys alike. Bonnaro was an experience that I’ll never forget with it being my first taste of the festival season with the band.

New York was fun. We hung out on Bleeker st, visited the village vanguard, The Bitter End and Bleeker Bobs record store and the site which used to be CBGB’s. The guitar shops are cool in NYC especially Rivington Guitars on West 3rd Street.

Each city I’ve visited has it’s own charm, be it Boston’s Fenway Park or Nashville’s Ryman Theatre, There’s always something to see!
I’ve really enjoyed my time in America and can’t wait to return for Lollapallooza and the shows with Alabama Shakes.
